the Company to demonstrate that its systems for managing Health and
Safety not only comply with all legal requirements, but also pro-actively
seek to eliminate or minimize risks to employees, etc, with a commitment
to continual improvement in Health and Safety performance. This is subject
to regular external review by an independent accreditation body.
By achieving registration to OHSAS 18001,
these Itqan® sites have not only completed the set of such standards
(ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001), but has also formally satisfied an
independent accreditation body that these have been successfully incorporated
into a truly "Integrated Management System".
